What is SIA?
SIA (SINMETRO Industry Academy) is a specialist learning platform focused on practical industrial training for manufacturing professionals and organisations.
SIA combines self-paced online Courses, structured Learning Programmes, Live Events and tailored Corporate Learning solutions.
Who are SIA courses designed for?
SIA courses are designed for professionals working in manufacturing, quality, engineering, metrology, production, continuous improvement, statistics and industrial data analysis.
Are SIA courses available in English and Portuguese?
Many SIA learning experiences are available in both English and Portuguese. The available language is indicated on each individual course or training page.
How do I contact the SIA team?
You can reach us through the Talk to Our Team action available throughout the website, or by using the contact form directly.

Courses

How do I access online courses?
All self-paced Courses are hosted on the SIA learning platform. After enrolment, you receive access to your account and can start learning online.
Can I learn at my own pace?
Yes. SIA self-paced Courses are designed to be completed at your own pace, allowing you to study whenever it suits you.
How long do I have access to a course?
Course access is 6 months from enrolment, unless otherwise stated on the individual course page.
Do I receive a certificate?
Completed self-paced Courses include a digital SIA Certificate of Completion.
A DGERT certificate can also be requested where applicable, according to the training and certification conditions stated on the relevant course page.
Can I buy individual courses?
Yes. Individual Courses can be purchased separately unless otherwise stated.
What topics do SIA Courses cover?
Courses cover industrial topics including Quality, Metrology, Manufacturing, Statistics, Data Analysis, Continuous Improvement and industrial Software.
Can I add a course to my cart?
Yes. Individual Courses available for purchase can be added to the shopping cart directly from the Courses catalogue or the relevant course pages.

Learning Programmes

What is a Learning Programme?
A Learning Programme combines several complementary Courses into a structured and recommended sequence designed to help learners develop deeper expertise in a specialist area.
How is a Learning Programme different from an individual course?
A Course focuses on one specific topic or skill.
A Learning Programme combines several related Courses into a structured sequence, allowing learners to develop a broader and more connected skill set.
Do I need to complete the Courses in order?
Learning Programmes are designed in a recommended sequence because each Course may build on concepts introduced earlier. You can access the included Courses according to the access and progression rules of the specific Programme
Can I purchase the Courses individually instead?
Yes. Courses included in a Learning Programme can also be purchased individually.
Is a Learning Programme better value than buying individual Courses?
Yes. Learning Programmes are offered at a lower combined price than purchasing all the included Courses individually.
How long do I have access to a Learning Programme?
Access is 6 months, unless otherwise stated on the specific Programme page.
Do I receive one certificate or multiple certificates?
Each completed Course within a Learning Programme issues its own digital SIA Certificate of Completion.

Live Events

What are Live Events?
Live Events are scheduled learning sessions delivered live by industry specialists. They include workshops and webinars covering practical industrial topics.
What is the difference between a workshop and a webinar?
Workshops are practical, instructor-led sessions designed for deeper learning and application.
Webinars are shorter sessions focused on sharing knowledge, practical insights and examples on a specific topic.
How are Live Events delivered?
Live Events may be delivered online or, for selected company sessions, at the organisation's facilities. For private or customised sessions, contact the SIA team to discuss the available format.
Do Live Events include a certificate?
Certification depends on the event. Paid workshops may include a digital SIA Certificate, and a DGERT certificate can be requested where applicable. Free webinars do not automatically include certification.
Always check the conditions stated on the specific event page.
How do I register for a live event?
Select the relevant Live Event and use the registration action on its event page.

Corporate Learning

Can my company enrol multiple employees?
Yes. SIA supports company and group enrolments. For organisations with broader or ongoing training needs, SIA can create a private Learning Hub tailored to the organisation.
What is a Learning Hub?
A Learning Hub is a private, branded learning environment created for an organisation. It can bring together SIA Courses, Learning Programmes, Live Workshops, customised e-learning and company-specific learning resources in one place.
Can a Learning Hub include our own content?
Yes. Learning Hubs can include company-specific content and internal learning resources, depending on the organisation's requirements.
Can our Learning Hub use our company's branding?
Yes. Learning Hubs can be tailored to the organisation's branding and identity.
Can we track employee progress?
Learning Hubs can provide learning progress and completion information for participating teams.
Can SIA create custom training for our organisation?
Yes. SIA can develop customised e-learning and training solutions around your organisation's processes, procedures, equipment and training objectives.
Can training be delivered at our facilities?
Yes. On-site training can be arranged for company teams where appropriate. Contact the SIA team to discuss requirements, group size, location and scheduling.

ACCEPT Training

What is ACCEPT Training?
ACCEPT Training helps professionals and organisations learn how to use the ACCEPT platform effectively through practical training delivered by SINMETRO specialists.
Do I need access to ACCEPT?
Yes. ACCEPT Training is designed for professionals and teams using the ACCEPT platform. Access to the relevant ACCEPT application is required or should be underway, depending on the training.
What is the difference between ACCEPT Training and SIA courses?
SIA Courses focus on industrial knowledge and methods. ACCEPT Training focuses on applying the ACCEPT software in practical industrial contexts.
For example, SIA's MSA Courses teach the concepts and methods of Measurement System Analysis, while ACCEPT MSA Training focuses on using the ACCEPT MSA application.
Is ACCEPT Training available as e-learning?
Selected ACCEPT applications have short, self-paced e-learning lessons available. Availability varies by application.
Is live ACCEPT Training available for companies?
Yes. Live ACCEPT Training can be arranged for individual users or company teams and can be tailored to the organisation's objectives.
How do I arrange ACCEPT Training?
Contact the SIA team to discuss the relevant ACCEPT application, your training needs and the preferred format.
How do I discuss corporate training with SIA?
ACCEPT Training is available in Portuguese and English where indicated on the relevant training page.

Certificates & Access

What certificates does SIA provide?
SIA offers digital certificates for completed learning experiences where indicated on the relevant Course, Programme or Live Event page.
A DGERT certificate may be available for applicable training upon request. Always check the individual training page for the specific certification available.
Are SIA certificates digital?
Yes. SIA Certificates of Completion are issued digitally and can be shared electronically.
How long do I have access to my learning?
For self-paced Courses and Learning Programmes, access is generally 6 months, unless a different period is stated on the relevant page.
