Luciano Dias has 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on project development, product/process validation, continuous improvement, quality management, and advanced data analysis. He is currently a Senior Consultant at SINMETRO, where he leads industrial transformation and continuous improvement projects by applying principles of industrial engineering, operations research, and data science.

Throughout his career, he has taken on technical, coordination, and quality management responsibilities in companies such as MD Plastics, Novares, and Key Plastics, in both Portugal and Mexico, with a strong focus on quality management and continuous improvement. Recognized for several innovative solutions acknowledged by clients like Continental, Audi, BMW, and Stellantis, Luciano has successfully applied tools such as Six Sigma, DOE, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

Since 2012, he has also worked as a trainer in topics such as APQP/PPAP, Core Tools, and Six Sigma, collaborating with institutions such as the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and various technical and industrial training centres.

He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, a postgraduate qualification in Six Sigma – Black Belt level, and a master’s in Data Science and Business Analytics from IMF/Catholic University of Ávila in partnership with INDRA.

Luciano has utilized MINITAB for statistical analysis and training for over 15 years.
